Teen cites good time management as key to success

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Time management can be the key to achieving multiple goals at once. This week’s Here’s to You Kid introduces us to a young lady who says that’s what helped her excel inside and outside the classroom.

Queenlyn Zartman is a teen who does it all. At Line Mountain High School she was on the yearbook committee, an honor roll student graduating with a 4.5 GPA., she was valedictorian of her graduating class of 2024, and she’s already earned 60 college credits, to name a few of her achievements.

“I’m also like very dedicated to my academics and I am graduating first in my class this year and so just learning how to maintain you know grades and work on that also while giving back to the community and being involved in school it’s been one of my challenges as a student.”

She’s also had a great deal of accomplishments on the field in track and soccer.

“I play soccer since I was about eight years old and this year we were our Tri-Valley League champions which is the first time in school history, so we’re really excited about that. We had a great season this year.”

Queenlyn says it’s a lot of balancing everything and it can be challenging, but she has a strategy.

“Prioritizing, you know homework and stuff doing that while also you know doing sports practices are really using every little bit of time I have and not wasting any of it.”

She plans on attending Mount Aloysius College to study midwifery.

“My goal is to become a certified nurse midwife, so I went further my education and get a master’s degree.”

Queenlyn also enjoys music and plays the piano.
