Flowers were blooming at Nay Aug Park

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Some major flower power was felt in the Electric City as the annual flower show came to town.

Hundreds of floral species were on display in Nay Aug Park captivating crowds with a breathtaking array of colors and sizes.

The free event was filled with live music played throughout the park orchestrating a harmonious show.

The flower show isn’t just for those with the greenest of thumbs, vendors of all kinds were also part of Saturday’s festivities.

There was something for everyone at the show from basket raffles, and food, to family fun activities bringing everyone together.

“Even though the weather is dreary there’s still a ton of people out a lot of people who came out to support,” says Samuel Hughes.

Money raised from Saturday’s show will benefit the Scranton Municipal Recreation Authority.
