Organizers say the center will help at-risk youths by providing life skills training, employment, and education support as well as housing planning, and more.

It will help give them the foundation they need to achieve their dreams.

“We are very very lucky, we a phenomenal crew that everybody’s goal is the same, we just want to help individuals move forward with their lives, and give them the skills that are needed so they can be successful, whatever those skills may be, its different for everybody,” said Outreach Center for Community Resources Program Director Jane Augustine

The Young Adult Center is largely funded by a $125,000 grant from the Moses Taylor Foundation. The center is located at 431 North 7th ave in Scranton.
