SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A much-anticipated celebration of ethnic food is underway in Scranton. The 12th Annual Jewish Food Festival kicked off Sunday at Nay Aug Park.

The food fest serves up cultural cuisine at the Everhart Pavilion.

The taste-tempting smell of falafel, schnitzel, knish, and much more helped bring out a hungry crowd once again.

Organizers say everything on the menu has been a hit.

“We here for over 10 years at Nay Aug and we love it. It’s great. The menu is wonderful. People are very happy with the food and it’s just a beautiful place to spend the day at Nay Aug,” said organizer Rabbi Benny Rapoport.

The Jewish Food Festival continues daily through Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Electric City.
