SEAFORD — TidalHealth will hold a free class about chronic kidney disease from 2-4 p.m. July 26 at its Center for Medical Training and Simulation, 121 S. Front St.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that around 15% of adults in the U.S. have this kidney illness, and up to 90% of individuals with it are unaware of their condition.

At the class, TidalHealth nephrologist Dr. Janet Pedro will present on how to slow the disease’s progress, how to monitor it and about diet, dialysis, transplant and financial considerations.

This event is open to people with kidney disease, as well as their family members and/or caregivers. Space is limited, so RSVP to Katlyn Ward at 302-297-2587, ext. 2998.
