Bloomberg Green Festival brings climate action to Seattle Center

The first-ever

Bloomberg Green Festival has officially set up camp this week at the Seattle Center with a whole host of speakers, comedians, workshops, dining options, and more.

The purpose? To show people where and how to start effecting change for the good of the planet.

It has a star-studded speaker lineup featuring names like Stacey Abrams, Sue Bird, and Quannah ChasingHorse, along with live performances by musicians and improv experts.

Here’s a sneak peek of what’s up on the schedule :

Friday, July 12

• 10-11 a.m. — Private Tour: Gates Discovery Center
• 10 a.m.-1:15 p.m. — Sound Bath Meditation with Mind Body Hum
• 2-6 p.m. — Bloomberg Green Docs Film Festival

Saturday, July 13

• 9 a.m.-12 p.m. — Tree Mulching and Weeding at Jefferson Park
• 10 a.m.-12 p.m. — Square Mile Relay Family Fun Run ( register in advance )
