Seattle Kraken's forward Oliver Bjorkstrand wasn't in Denmark's lineup for their Olympic Qualifier game due to an injury but GM Ron Francis has stated that it's not serious.

Denmark is in the midst of attempting to qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy and were going to rely heavily on Bjorkstrand. That was until he picked up an injury and was held out of their first game.

Despite missing Bjorkstrand, Oscar Fisker Molgaard and his fellow Danes emerged victorious over Great Britain.

For Danish fans and Kraken fans, Francis spoke to 93.3 KJR to clear the air about the extent of Bjorkstrand's injury.

"He needed to have something looked at, but is expected to be ready for training camp next month."

The 29-year-old has become a crucial part of the Kraken's forward group and was the lone all-star representative last year. He's coming off of a career year for assists and points and will be a key contributor if the Kraken make a push for a playoff spot.
