The Seattle Kraken have completed their second wave of roster cuts, reassigning three top prospects to their junior teams.

The first wave of roster cuts saw 10 prospects head back to the CHL. Those players were Kaden Hammell, Julius Miettinen, Ollie Josephson, Clarke Caswell, Caden Price, Tyson Jugnauth, Lukas Dragicevic, Jakub Fibigr, Andrei Loshko and Alexis Bernier.

The second wave was smaller but significant. 2024 first-round pick Berkly Catton will head back to the Spokane Chiefs looking to improve on his two previous dominant WHL seasons. Carson Rehkopf and Nathan Villeneuve will head back to the OHL to their respective clubs. Rehkopf will play a critical role for his new team, the Brampton Steelheads and will likely return to Team Canada's World Junior roster. Villeneuve had a standout performance in the Kraken's first preseason game which he was rewarded with by staying for a couple extra days at training camp.

The Kraken host the Vancouver Canucks on Friday and a few more roster cuts are expected following that game. Players will be assigned to the Kraken’s farm system, those being the Coachella Valley Firebirds ( AHL ) or the Kansas City Mavericks ( ECHL ).
