First Period Highlights: The Flyers struck first with a wrap-around goal past Kraken goalie Philip Grubauer from Scott Laughton, his first of two goals in the first period. However, Brandon Montour tied it up 1-1 with a slap shot past Flyers goalie Samuel Ersson. Montour's goal was his first with the Kraken since signing a seven-year contract over the summer.
The night also celebrated Chandler Stephenson's 500th NHL game. The Heroes of the Deep award was presented to Mothers Against Drunk Driving in memory of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau. A donation of $32,000 will be made to the charity from the One Roof Foundation.
Second Period Highlights: The second period was completely dominated by the Kraken, who scored four goals: Jared McCann on a power play, Eeli Tolvanen with a wrist shot, and Jordan Eberle and Shane Wright, whose goals were only 8 seconds apart! This established a franchise record for the fastest two goals and quickest two goals by one team this season.
Third Period Highlights: The Flyers aimed for a comeback and narrowed the gap with two goals from Cam York and Jamie Drysdale. However, a sweet pass from Jaden Schwartz to Oliver Bjorkstrand led to a breakaway goal for the Kraken, giving Seattle the 6-4 win.
In the last two games for Seattle there have been 13 goals from 11 different scorers! The Kraken host the Calgary Flames on Saturday with a puck drop of 7PM PST.
