Help Shape Seattle Pride 2025

Know anyone who embodies the spirit of Pride? Seattle Pride is calling on the community to submit theme ideas and grand marshal nominations for the 2025 Seattle Pride Parade through Feb. 28, 2025.

According to the organization, “Theme ideas should reflect the heart and soul of the LGBTQIA+ movement, embracing the diversity and intersectionality of the community.” Submissions can include “a powerful phrase, a symbol of unity, or an ode to resilience,” serving as a beacon of hope and visibility. Share your theme ideas via the online form .

Seattle Pride is also looking for nominations for grand marshal, the ceremonial leader of the parade. Nominees can be individuals or organizations who exemplify leadership, queer representation, and advocacy. “We are asking our community for input so we can identify a grand marshal who reflects the Pride spirit and has made a lasting impact for Seattle’s queer community,” says Seattle Pride Executive Director Patti Hearn. Past grand marshals have included figures such as WNBA legend Sue Bird, soccer star Megan Rapinoe, actor George Takei, and two-time RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon.

Seattle Pride (Seattle Out & Proud Foundation) is a nonprofit organization that puts on the Seattle Pride Parade, Seattle Pride in the Park, and other Pride-related events.
