How Long Until Seattle Fans Can Watch Pro Women's Hockey In Person?

The inaugural-season PWHL playoffs continue Friday, when Minnesota plays Toronto.

Unfortunately, Minnesota is as far west as the six-team pro women's hockey league has gotten so far. Unfortunate, because Xcel Energy Center, where the team shares the rink with the Minnesota Wild, is 1,669 miles from Climate Pledge Arena.

Though the league has had a boffo first year at the gate, on TV, and in quality of play, expansion is at least a year away - and there's no guarantee Seattle will be one of the cities to be granted a team.

Until then, there's always hope that the PWHL will schedule a neutral-site game in the Pacific Northwest. We put that question, and a whole lot of others about the sustainability of women's pro hockey, to THN columnist Carol Schram. It's today's Kraken Reaction .
