The anecdote concerns the man who doesn't have nearly enough fingers for all his Stanley Cup rings, Hall of Fame coach Scotty Bowman.

He coached nine Cup winners - five in Montreal, one in Pittsburgh, three in Detroit.

Bowman won five more titles as an executive with the Penguins (1), Wings (1), and Chicago Blackhawks (3).
