    Kraken Sign Goaltender Kim Saarinen To An Entry-Level Contract

    The Seattle Kraken have signed goaltender and 2024 third-round pick, Kim Saarinen to a three-year entry-level contract carrying a $975,000 AAV.

    The Kraken took the 17-year-old Finnish goaltender with the 88th overall pick in the most recent NHL entry draft. He spent last year with the HPK organization playing in their U-18 and U-20 systems. He also played in two games in the top Finnish league (Liiga) where he posted a .909SV% and a 2.46GAA.

    The 6'4 goaltender will be heading back to Finland and will likely play a more prominent role with HPK in Liiga.

    The Kraken have now signed two of their 2024 draft picks to entry-level contracts.
