Washington Eatery Serves The Best 'Cheap Eats' In The State

You don't have to break the bank in order to enjoy a delicious dish that doesn't compromise on flavor just because it comes with a lower price tag. Plenty of restaurants offer diners options that pack a punch for a small price, giving them the biggest bang for their buck.

Cheapism searched for the best "cheap eats" around the country and compiled a list of the top dish in every state that will cost $12 or less, from gooey, chocolatey desserts to regional takes on classic dishes. According to the site, the best inexpensive dish in all of Washington is the apple pie served at Snohomish Pie Co., which has locations in Snohomish and Mountlake Terrace. The dessert found at A La Mode Pies in Seattle was named the runner-up.

"Washington grows a variety of apples that include Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Fuji, Gala, and many more, making desserts like apple pie a regular dish seen in the state. Snohomish is known for its signature pie crust, with slices starting at $6 for either an original with Washington apples, spices, and a pie crust pastry on top, a crumb version topped with sweet crumbs, or apple mixes with peach and marionberries. At A La Mode Pies, try a slice of the French Apple, which comes with local Granny Smith apples, cinnamon, and a buttery crumb topping."
