If there’s one thing these bars know how to do, it’s commit to the bit — and we’ll cheers to that.

As Seattle’s nightlife ramps up for the end of summer and coming of fall, themed bars around town are really leaning into their unique personalities.

From WWE fandom to mystical arts, here’s where to hop for some escapism:

Lariat Bar | White Center | This bar’s homage to all things wrestling features vintage paraphernalia, concession-style food, and even a small ring with stage lighting. We can almost smell what the Rock is cooking.

Inside Passage | Capitol Hill | Beware the sirens — when you walk through the door, you’re entering an underwater world of sunken ships, ambient neon lights, and tropical decor.

Fireside | Burien | Into Midwest ‘70s motifs? This cozy spot may be for you with its boasting throwback decor and retro cocktails including Brandy Alexanders and drinks made from Chicago’s favorite bitter liqueur Malört.

Pro tip: This stop has a monthly rotation for whiskey/bourbon and Bartender’s Choice of Beer.

32 Bar + Grill | Northgate | This one is the Seattle Kraken’s first-ever official restaurant at the team’s Community Iceplex, and it shows with its hockey puck-filled glass bar and a view of the practice rink.

Mr. B’s Meadery | Fremont | The vibrant murals and eclectic alleyway seating at this meadery will have you buzzing with delight — we swear it’s not just the alcohol.
Pro tip: Keep an eye out for funny little figures hidden in the bar’s nooks and crevices.

Three 9 Lounge | West Seattle | Those looking for a tropical staycation could tip a few back at this tiki bar. There’s bowling next door, too.

Good Times Bad Bar | Uptown/Queen Anne| Billing itself as a “psychedelic social club,” this ultra-trippy afterwork destination doubles as a sports bar.

The Octopus Bar | Wallingford | You’ll wanna reel this one in — worn wooden planks, mounted flotation devices, and heavy corded nets really seal the deal for this one’s seafaring theme.

Phocific Standard Time | Downtown | The folks behind iconic Vietnamese restaurant Pho Bac opened this speakeasy “treehouse” upstairs at its downtown location, with pho-washed cocktails.
