Businesses in Booneville are getting ready for football season
BOONEVILLE, Miss (WTVA) - Local businesses in Booneville say they see an increase in sales when football season starts. Thursday was the first football game of the season for the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers. They took on the East Central Warriors at home and folks were ready to go support.
Jackets have 'next man up' mentality in football
Chris Jones has seen this before at SHS. The coach has been with the program now for eight seasons and is on pace to being the winningest coach in the school’s history. Graduation hasn’t stopped his teams from being successful before as the Jackets have regularly competed for district titles and state championships since he arrived back in 2017.
