Lawsuit targets new law easing Michigan lake level management
BAY CITY, MI — Three Higgins Lake property owners are suing in federal court to overturn a new state law allowing counties more leeway in regulating inland lake levels. Greg Semack, Bruce Carleton and Wayne Brooks are asking a judge to void parts of a new law allowing temporary lake level fluctuations based on weather, natural events or construction.
