NJ Transit and Amtrak running again after downed wires disrupt service
Downed wires near Rahway, New Jersey caused service disruptions for New Jersey Transit and Amtrak Sunday. Services between New York City and Phialdephia were suspended just before 5 p.m. yesterday afternoon and partially restored around 6:30 p.m. Services have been fully restored, and both New Jersey Transit and Amtrak are back up and running.

Devyani Shroff, a Montclair resident, had called her sons, Neil and Niku Shroff, to inform them of her medical distress. “Pipe Dream,” a Rodgers and Hammerstein musical which had a brief run back in the day, overshadowed by “Oklahoma,” “Carousel,” “The King and I,” and “South Pacific,” gets a rare revival at Berkshire Theatre Group, July 26 to Aug. 31. When “Pipe Dream” opened, it was given an original cast recording, but the musical, based on John Steinbeck’s “Cannery Row” and “Sweet Thursday,” was forgotten, until the New York City Center Encores series revived and recorded the musical with Leslie Uggams.
