You Won’t Be Able to Fly Within the U.S. Next Year Without This
If you’re planning your next vacation, travel for work or simply visiting friends and family within the country in 2025, there’s a key document you’ll need to carry to board your flight: the REAL ID. In just over a year, California residents accustomed to using their standard state-issued driver’s licenses or ID cards for boarding commercial flights, will no longer have that option. It’s a federally recognized form of identification valid for domestic air travel, accessing nuclear power plants, and entering specific federal facilities. It’s typically distinguished by a star located in the top right corner. The ID has seen numerous extensions, partly due to the pandemic. But now the deadline to get this key document is finally here. The deadline is May 7, 2025. After that date, Americans who don’t have this document won’t be able to board domestic flights or enter certain federal facilities. The IDs are a security benchmark established by a 2005 Act, enhancing national security and establishing a baseline for identification verification across all states in the U.S. Congress, prompted by the 9/11 Commission, passed the Act to standardize security for state IDs and licenses nationwide.

These Non-Alcoholic Bars & Restaurants Are Redefining The Bar Scene In Los Angeles
While the pandemic made all of us miss bars and cocktail lounges, more and more young people are trying to reduce their alcohol consumption.
