Sedalia Schools’ Board of Education rejected policy revisions suggested by the state’s school board association.

At last week’s meeting, the school board agreed to reject the slate of revisions from the Missouri School Boards Association, opting to consult further with their attorneys on changes more specific to the district’s needs. Superintendent Dr Todd Fraley says MSBA’s proposals were several years in the making.

Fraley adds that some of MSBA’s revisions did not reflect the community’s values.

During discussion at last week’s meeting, Fraley noted that the district had visited with another legal firm concerning the district’s policies, but decided against going forward as it would result in ending Sedalia Schools’ longstanding relationship with the education law firm Tueth Keeney.
