Two area cities are convening their city councils for special meetings and work studies Tuesday.

The Sedalia City Council will go into special session at noon to consider a liquor license for a new business in the Sedalia Trust Building. Afterward the council will adjourn to a work study to review options for the Washington Street Bridge over the Union Pacific railroad tracks that has been closed since late February.

Moberly’s City Council will have a special meeting this afternoon at 5 p.m. to review and discuss rates for the city’s water and wastewater systems.

Three area school boards are scheduled to have their regular meetings this evening.  Moberly’s board of education will gather at 5:30 p.m. to review support staff salaries and stipends.  Marshall Schools will have their meeting at 6 p.m. to consider a proposed land exchange and begin reviewing policy revisions. Carrollton R-VII will also meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. to recap the district’s summer school session, consider the staff orientation schedule for the next year, and review policy updates from the Missouri School Boards Association.
