Sedgwick County Commissioners approved a resolution pertaining to Kansas Open Records Act requests.

The updated policy provides procedures and the framework for compliance with KORA. Any citizen of the county can either obtain a copy of or inspect government records and the county has three days to respond to such a request.

Corey Stokes with the county says they can charge fees for KORA requests to help cover costs of pulling those records but there is a limit.

The county says they average around 1600 requests per month.
