Search continues for 3rd suspect in acid attack on Kansas teen
SEDGWICK COUNTY —Police continue the search for a 16-year-old Kansas girl accused in a violent attack on a Kansas teen. Just after noon May 26, police responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of N Dodge in Wichita, according to Wichita Police Captain Aaron Moses. The victim in this case, an 18-year-old girl later arrived at an area hospital with second degree burns to the face and neck believed to be caused by a suspect throwing an acidic liquid on her during a physical fight.
Man who killed Kansas K9 officer is headed to prison
SEDGWICK COUNTY —A Kansas man is going to prison for killing a Sedgwick County Sheriff's K9 officer. Kaylon Kirkwood, 25, Wichita, was sentenced to nearly 2 and one half years for battery of a law enforcement officer and and another year in jail for harming or killing the the K9, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.

Wichita man sentenced in fatal 2023 shooting
A Sedgwick County judge has sentenced a Wichita man to 44 years in prison for the shooting death of a woman and the wounding of her daughter. A sentence of 528 months was given to 30-year-old Matthew Alexander III, who pleaded guilty to charges of second degree reckless murder and attempted second degree murder.
Teen motorcycle rider dies after crash southwest of Wichita
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said a motorcycle rider has died of injuries he received in a crash Wednesday night. Deputies said Bradley Buhr of Wichita was with a group of other motorcyclists who were street racing around 10 p.m. Wednesday, and he crashed into a car at K-42 and Ridge Road. He was taken to a hospital, where he died the next day.
Missing Wichita man's body found near Marion Reservoir
MARION COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - The body and vehicle of a missing Wichita man have been found near the Marion Reservoir, authorities said Thursday.
