Wichita man injured in Chase County crash
A Wichita man was seriously injured Wednesday in a crash on the Kansas Turnpike in Chase County. The Kansas Highway Patrol said 45-year-old Michael Rader was riding a motorcycle southbound around 4 p.m. when he went off the roadway and hit a guardrail near mile marker 102. Rader was thrown from the motorcycle by the impact.

Derby man enters agreement with DA after practicing law without license
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A Derby man found to be practicing law without a license faces fines and has promised not to perform or contract for any work he doesn’t have the required license to do. The Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office said Andrew Wells entered into a consent judgment with the DA and admitted to violating the Kansas Consumer Protection Act.

NOTO Board of Directors makes selections for new leadership
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The NOTO Board of Directors has selected new leadership for the organization. According to NOTO officials, they have selected Pedro Concepcion to serve as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer. Officials said Concepcion is a well-established fixture in NOTO and the Topeka community, co-owner of several small businesses and has contributed to the establishment of many popular restaurants in Topeka. He has also served on the NOTO Board of Directors since 2020. Concepcion will succeed Thomas Underwood, who is retiring later this year. Concepcion will assume leadership of the organization Aug. 1. Underwood will continue to support the organization during a transitional phase.
