A man from Pinellas County, Florida, has won $1 million from a scratch-off ticket. After choosing the lump-cash option, the winner took some $650,000 back home. Charles Kelly Junior, 53, won his big prize from a Gold Rush Doubler scratcher he purchased at the Wildwood Meat Market on 28th Street South in St. Petersburg.

Northern Arizona Cross Country Unveils Thrilling 2024 Schedule
Northern Arizona University's cross country team has released its schedule for the upcoming 2024 season, aiming to defend their titles in the Big Sky Conference. Director Michael Smith announced that the men and women's teams, which recently finished as runners-up at the National Championship, will compete in four regular season meets, starting with the George Kyte Classic on August 31 in Flagstaff. The schedule includes notable events such as the Dave Murray Invitational in Tucson and the Wisconsin Pre Nationals at Madison, where they’ll preview the NCAA Championship course. The championship season culminates at the Big Sky Championships on November 1, with the NCAA Mountain Regionals following on November 15. The national championships are set for November 23, where both teams look to enhance their legacies further.
Man Seriously Injured in Shooting at North Phoenix Gas Station, Police Seek Suspect Info
Yesterday morning, Phoenix was disrupted by the echo of gunshots near a north Phoenix gas station, at 43rd Avenue and Cactus Road, where police responded to a shooting that left one man seriously injured.
