Jimmies announce 2024-25 home schedule
Sixteen home games highlight the 2024-25 University of Jamestown women's hockey schedule, announced by head coach Hannah Griffin on Tuesday. Five of UJ's first seven games are at home, including the season opener October 4 against Midland. Jamestown hosts Midland again on October 5 and finishes the weekend with a game against Arizona on October 6. After a weekend series at Minot State October 11-12, the Jimmies return to Wilson Arena to host Minnesota October 19-20.
Blue Hawks picked to finish 6th in NSAA coaches' poll
Dickinson, N.D. – Dickinson State has been picked to finish sixth in the final year of the North Star Athletic Association by the league coaches, the NSAA announced on Monday. The Blue Hawks look to bounce back from the 2023 season that saw them miss the NSAA Conference Tournament with new head coach Stormy Siemion at the helm.

Horace City Council approves preliminary budget with $1.3 million increase in expenses
(HORACE) – The Horace City Council has given their preliminary approval of the 2025 city budget, including $1.3 million in expenses. The increase in expenses totals nearly $600,000 more in expenses from the 2024 budget. According to city documents, the increases include raises for the City Commissioners and Mayor, along with an addition of an assistant city planner/code enforcement official.
Janesville Jets and Bismarck Bobcats Name New Head Coaches
The Janesville Jets of the North American Hockey League have announced that Brett Wall will become the head coach for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. Wall comes to Janesville with experience playing in the NAHL and advancing to the NCAA Division I level at Lake Superior State University. He has coached at the youth, junior, and college levels, most recently as head coach of Lawrence University in the NCHA conference.
