The LIFT Ministries Dallas County jail detainee blessing drive was held on May 19.

Underwear, T-shirts and socks were donated to Dallas County inmates.

Dallas County Probate Judge Jimmy Nunn, Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum, LeMarkus Snow of Snow’s Cleaning Service, business leaders Aaron Roper and Dontae Allen and Selma Community Bible Church were among those who donated.

“This effort by Lift Ministries is driven by a deep understanding of these challenges and a commitment to offering support and hope,” Lift Ministries founder Latangia Williams-Dozier said. “It focuses on ensuring detainees feel valued and remembered by their community. This outreach underscores the message that the community has not thrown them away.”

Snow said he’s always glad to help the community.

“Always a blessing to Give back to the community,” Snow said. “Everybody in jail ain’t guilty, and everybody that looks good ain’t innocent. People make mistakes in their life. I was one of them, and I know how it is to be in prison alone with a cry for help. This was a worthy cause to assist .”

Williams also thanks her husband, Bruce Dozier and her parents, Dallas County Commissioner Curtis Williams and her mother, Jerolne Williams.
