Opinion: Jazz on the Grazz was strong as usual

Jazz on the Grazz just completed its 13th season in Selma last weekend.

The event is held every June and sponsored by former Selma City Councilwoman Angela Benjamin and the Coalition for Concerned Families.

We always appreciate the blood, sweat and tears that Benjamin pours into this concert series year in and year out. Benjamin displays the same passion for Jazz on the Grazz she did during her stint as city councilwoman.

We also applaud singer Lynnethia Bennett for lending her talented voice to the concert and Tisdale’s Backyard BBQ providing their delectable ribs. We love seeing the local support at this event. The Selma City Council always sponsors and shows their support. State Sen. Robert Stewart and Rep. Prince Chestnut also supported it.
