The City of Selma hosted its fireworks show following the Leavitt Amp concert featuring by July Moon and ItIs Barack at 8 p.m. at the Selma Amphitheatre.

The show lasted around 15 minutes and could be seen all over downtown Selma. A large crowd was gathered at the Amphitheatre. Others stood on the Edmund Pettus Bridge watching the show. Even more were camped out on their boats on the Alabama River to enjoy the booming display.

In addition to the concert and fireworks show, Selma had a downtown Street Fair at Riverfront Park and Water Avenue on July 3 and 4. Danielle Wooten, City of Selma planning and development director, prior to the celebration said she anticipated a strong showing for all events.
