The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs wants public comments on the Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program from Selma residents.

According to City of Selma Planning and Development director Danielle Wooten, feedback will directly impact the development and recovery projects in Selma and ensure that the needs and priorities of the community are heard and addressed.

“This is the chance to have a say in how these vital funds are used to rebuild and improve our community,” Wooten said. “This is critically important to ensure that the housing recovery needs of our community are met and that funding will be accessible and utilized for all those in need of assistance. We must speak up to make Selma stronger and more resilient.”

Comments can be emailed to: chloe.movers@adeca.alabama.gov . The deadline to apply is July 31.
