Seminole teacher on leave after child molestation arrest

A Seminole High School teacher has been placed on administrative leave, accused by law enforcement of molesting a child, a school district spokeswoman confirmed.

Timothy Peter Delaney, 48, was arrested Friday by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and faces one charge of lewd or lascivious molestation of a person under the age of 12. His bond was set at $20,000.

“As this is a domestic issue, the district would not be able to provide a comment in this matter,” said Katherine Crnkovich, spokesperson for the Seminole County school district.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Delaney has been a marine science teacher at Seminole for three years.
