Staunton man hospitalized after police pursuit
AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A Staunton man remains hospitalized following a police pursuit last week. Lieutenant Leslie Snyder reported in a news release that at around 8 a.m. last Friday morning, deputies responded to the 200 block of Balsley Road east of Staunton for a report of a disorderly man.
Developing: Augusta County Sheriff’s Office investigating shooting in Craigsville
The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is giving us the barest of details about a Monday-night shooting in Craigsville. All we know is that an unnamed female victim was shot in the arm, and that authorities are considering the shooting, reported in the 450 block of Hite Hollow Road, “an isolated incident,” in the words of Sheriff Donald Smith.
