(From the July 8,1999, issue of the Sequoyah County Times) —The water level at Lake Tenkiller is dropping about six inches per day, Carton Bailey, park ranger with the U.S. Corps of Engineers, said. The drop is the result of evaporation and the release of water from Tenkiller Dam, he said.

Muldrow woman killed in Sequoyah County crash
SEQUOYAH COUNTY, Okla. — A Muldrow woman was killed in a crash in Sequoyah County Tuesday afternoon. A report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the crash happened at the intersection of E. 1070 Road and S. 4670 Road around 2:21 p.m. This is about 3 miles east of Sallisaw.
