Out of 16 locations in the state listed on the Big Lots website, the webpages for three stores include a message that says "closing this location." Those locations are 1470 Pleasant Valley Road in Manchester, 56 Turnpike Square in Milford and 40 Boston Post Road in Waterford.

Renovations complete at Stony Brook State Park with $4.5 million project
STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The $4.5 million improvement project at Stony Brook State Park officially wrapped up on Monday, New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced. Lessons Learned Over the Years Are Still Valuable Today
A building on Church Street in New Haven has been a font of experiences and lifelong lessons. One Forty-One Church Street is the address of the New Haven seat of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. That stately building fronting the Green has been for me a font of countless experiences and many, many lessons. These experiences are deposits in my memory bank. Some lessons have taken. Many take only with repetition. Many more are lost no matter how often taught. One of my most important lessons came out of that building but not from the court.

Folk country duo Gillian Welch and David Rawlings have announced a new album, Woodland, due out on August 23 on the pair’s Acony Records. This is a follow-up to their Grammy-winning 2020 covers album, All The Good Times (Are Past & Gone). Woodland is Welch’s first album of original material since 2011’s The Harrow & the Harvest, and Rawlings’ first since 2017’s Poor David’s Almanack.
