SCPD Announces 3 Arrests in Connection with Man Found Strangled to Death on East Farmingdale Road
Suffolk County Police have arrested three men for the murder of Juan Carlos Diaz Geronimo who was found strangled in East Farmingdale in June. On Saturday, June 22, First Precinct Police officers responded to Garity Place after a passerby called 911 to report a man on the side of the road at approximately 1:35 a.m. The man, Juan Carlos Diaz Geronimo, was pronounced dead at the scene by the East Farmingdale Fire Department.

Gillian Welch, David Rawlings Announce Album And U.S. Tour, Share New Song
Folk country duo Gillian Welch and David Rawlings have announced a new album, Woodland, due out on August 23 on the pair’s Acony Records. This is a follow-up to their Grammy-winning 2020 covers album, All The Good Times (Are Past & Gone). Woodland is Welch’s first album of original material since 2011’s The Harrow & the Harvest, and Rawlings’ first since 2017’s Poor David’s Almanack. Welch and Rawlings shared the first single lifted from their new album, “Empty Trainload of Sky,” while also announcing an extensive U.S. tour that kicks off on July 23 in South Burlington, Vermont, and finishes up on December 5 in Port Chester, New York.

Shelton News: Police Investigate Serious Motorcycle Accident on Walnut Tree Road
On July 19, 2024, at approximately 10:09 AM, the Shelton Police Department responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a motorcycle and motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Walnut Tree Road and Thompson Street in Shelton.
