In my opinion, the upgrade is worth it if you can’t get seats in the 100 section. The photo above is the view from the standing area, no zoom. It was a good view if you don’t care about visual effects, and the people with us were into the music but pretty low key, which is nice if you’re 30 and not up for a crazy crowd anymore like us lol. There’s seating behind us that I think would be a great hangout if you’re the ride/adult there for teens who are old enough to watch by themselves. We all know coming/going from Darien Lake is a shitshow. After waiting in line to park for so long we missed the opener, I can’t tell you how nice it was to not have to wait in line AT ALL for bathrooms, drinks, or food. An employee even came to where we were standing and offered to bring us concessions. They had free water and popcorn as well. After the show, a local band played in the tent so you could sit on comfy couches to hang out and listen while the parking lots clear up outside. Hope this helps someone decide in the future because I searched everywhere while I was deciding if it was worth it and couldn’t find anything useful.
