Solon to host summer festival in lieu of Home Days
The City of Solon will host its annual Summer Festival from noon to 7 p.m. July 28 at the Solon Community Park at 6679 SOM Center Road. The event has run under the name Solon Home Days in the past. But according to Tracy Sullivan, director of community and cultural enrichment, along with the Holiday Lighting in November being renamed to Winter Festival and with the addition of a new Spring Festival in April, as well as changes being made to the event, it “fell in line” for the city to rename the annual event to Summer Festival.
