The Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association (TBCA) recently announced their selections for their All-State teams. Three of the county baseball standouts received the honor. East Tennessee nonprofits receive $475,000 in grants from Arconic
BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn — Five Blount County households will be able to take the next steps to homeownership thanks to a grant from the Arconic Foundation. Alcoa's Arconic is donating $475,000 to 15 non-profits in Blount, Sevier and Knox counties. The company said the grants will be used for educational, sustainability and social equity programs across the region.
Deputy files countersuit against Wright
KNOXVILLE — A Sevier County Sheriff’s deputy is countersuing a woman who named him in a wrongful death complaint over her husband’s death in a shootout, saying she shouldn’t have allowed her brother to have a gun while living at her home because he was a convicted felon.
