    ‘Foul play’ not suspected after body found by Sevierville utility worker

    SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Authorities in Sevierville are investigating after a man was found dead by a city utility employee late in the afternoon on Friday, June 26.

    The man, who is believed to have been homeless, was found in a vehicle just off Two Rivers Boulevard. A city spokesperson said he has been identified as Kenny Charles Davis, 50, of Sevierville.

    The spokesperson added that “no foul play is suspected” at this time, but they are waiting for the medical examiner’s determination.

    Missing firefighters found dead in East Tennessee, police in Georgia say

    Medical examiners are responsible for investigating deaths “which occur suddenly and unexpectedly in people in otherwise good health” and deaths in which the body cannot be identified, according to the Tennessee Department of Health.
