Fire destroys restaurant, hall on West Side; firefighter injured
CLEVELAND, Ohio — A fire at a restaurant and hall on the West Side rekindled after it was initially controlled, destroying the building and injuring a firefighter. According to the city fire department, the blaze first started in the restaurant, reportedly Gargano’s, located near the intersection of West 25th Street and Marvin Avenue in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood. Wind and STEM lessons fill student sails on Lake Erie
Waves lapped against the dock as Carter Florence pushed a little sailboat into the water. Before long, he was out on Lake Erie, maneuvering the boat’s jib to catch wind gusts with his fellow classmates Nathan Dodge and Emmet Barley. Pedestrian Struck on I-77, New Philadelphia Patrol Investigating
The State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal incident on I-77 south. The accident occurred near bolivar Sunday morning involving a pedestrian who was struck and killed. New Philadelphia post trooper Roy Beach says the victim, 34-year-old Jonathan Mandala of Akron, apparently walked onto the highway from the right side of the lanes and was hit by a flatbed truck just before 10 a.m.
