Overseer set for central Pa. health facility that closed amid 2 execs’ suicides
A Lancaster County judge appointed a temporary receiver to oversee the company that runs Retreat Behavioral Health operations in Pennsylvania, including an Ephrata center. Judge Jeffrey Conrad’s order Thursday follows the abrupt shuttering of Retreat’s addiction and mental health treatment centers in three states within the past week, leaving in limbo nearly 650 employees and the discharge of patients.
Miss Butler County competes in state competition
Miss Butler County Samantha Roth competed in the Miss Pennsylvania pageant from June 13 to 15 at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts in York, Pa. Many activities greeted the young women from around the state who participated in the state competition, including a visit to Harrisburg, luncheon with the York Philanthropy Club, pajama party and movie night, a Barbie-themed ball, Lilac Ball, and others.
