    Seymour police arrest Newtown man in child porn case

    SEYMOUR, Conn. (WTNH) — Seymour police have arrested a Newtown man in a child pornography investigation.

    James A. Matheson, 47, was arraigned Thursday on charges of first-degree possession of child pornography, voyeurism with malice, disseminating voyeuristic material and five counts of risk of injury to a child.

    Norwich officer accused of shoplifting at Walmart

    Police said the investigation into Matheson is ongoing, and more charges could be filed against him. Detectives are working with other jurisdictions to identify victims and recover evidence.

    Matheson is being held on a court-set bond of $250,000.
