(SAN FRANCISCO) With businesses and workplaces reopening across the Bay Area, BART has nearly returned to pre-pandemic levels, KRON 4 reports.

BART increased train service by 76% for a total of 875 hours every weekday compared to only 498 hours in mid-July.

Trains are running more frequently and last trains Monday through Saturday have extended service to midnight. Sunday service will remain 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., BART officials said.

On weekdays, direct trips to San Francisco International Airport have increased.

Some service has still not increased, however, such as commuter trains on the Antioch-SFO line during peak hours have not returned to pre-pandemic levels.

The new schedule and map of the BART system are available here.
