    Michelin-starred Russian Hill restaurant Lord Stanley preps for last service and rotating pop-up series

    (SAN FRANCISCO) Lord Stanley, a European restaurant in Russian Hill, is closing and turning into a pop-up series, Eater SF reports.

    The Michelin-starred restaurant on the corner of Polk and Broadway streets will offer its last service Sept. 4.

    Afterward, the 40-seat restaurant will become Lord Stanley’s Turntable, a culinary pop-up series, according to co-chefs and husband-and-wife owners Rupert and Carrie Blease.

    Turntable will debut Sept. 7 It will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

    The Bleases are partnering with the founder of TasteMakers, Michael Goldman, to host culinary talent from around the world. Each experience will last up to two months at a time, according to Eater SF.

    First up in the series' rotation is Argentinian chef and author Narda Lepes, who was named Latin America’s Best Female Chef in 2020.
