Power outages begin in Eastern Oregon as wildfire and storms collide
Baker City, OR (CBS2) — Idaho Power is reporting power outages between Baker City and Dixe Oregon. The outages are weather-related and are affecting over 600 customers at this time. Idaho Power has warned residents in Eastern Oregon and Western Idaho that approaching thunderstorms and winds that are expected to reach in excess of 50 mph could cause them to preemptively shut power off in an effort to avoid new wildfire starts.
