A shocking Orioles-Phillies trade to boost Philadelphia's outfield
The Baltimore Orioles could trade Cedric Mullins, their starting center fielder, to a contender before the trade deadline. Let me explain. The Orioles have more outfielders than they know what to do with. Colton Cowser and Heston Kjerstad aren't going anywhere because they're two thirds of the future in Baltimore's outfield. Anthony Santander is having the best season of any Baltimore outfielder. Austin Hays is performing well in his role and Kyle Stowers desperately needs more playing time. Top prospect, Connor Norby, is banging on the door to be called up to the big leagues.
Orioles active rookie Heston Kjerstad from concussion IL a week after 97 mph pitch hit his helmet
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Baltimore Orioles rookie Heston Kjerstad was activated Saturday from the seven-day concussion injured list. Kjerstad was hit in the helmet by a 97 mph pitch from New York Yankees’ Clay Holmes in the July 12 game between the AL East rivals, and both benches cleared after that. The Orioles outfielder went on the concussion IL the following day.
Ravens, Panthers May Be Favorites for Frustrating Cut Candidate
The Baltimore Ravens or Carolina Panthers may be favorites for frustrating cut candidate linebacker, Randy Gregory this summer. According to a report, there may be drama unfolding as the pass rusher is cutting contact with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers even though he just got there. The team was able to bring him into a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with the thought he might be able to regain his original form. However, things are not looking bright for a team that’s looking for a replacement for Devin White and Shaquil Barrett.
Could The Ravens Reunite With 4-Time Pro Bowl Pass Rusher?
The Baltimore Ravens are going to be contenders in the AFC during the 2024 season. They were the No. 1 seed in the conference last season, earning home-field advantage throughout the postseason. Unfortunately, it was not enough to help them get over the hump. They were defeated in the AFC Championship game by the eventual […] The post Could The Ravens Reunite With 4-Time Pro Bowl Pass Rusher? appeared first on NFL Analysis Network.

Wolf Trap offers wintry charms on ideal summer night with a painterly “Bohème”
The summer opera stars aligned for a delightful experience Friday evening at Wolf Trap. With no rain or humidity, a cool breeze set the ideal temperature for a near-capacity crowd at the Filene Center, both under the venue’s roof and picnicking on the lawn. With the National Symphony Orchestra gathered in the pit, Wolf Trap Opera Company fielded a solid cast of young singers for a worthy production of Giacomo Puccini’s evergreen La Bohème.
Shelter Announce Northeast Headlining Dates
Shelter announced a four-date run of headlining dates for September on their Instagram. Yes, I can see the gears turning in your head going “I know the name Shelter, but I can’t remember from where.” Well, to remind you, Shelter is the Hare Krishna-based band from Youth of Today vocalist Ray Cappo that he started in the early ‘90s. Once they started banning Hare Krishnas from airports, I guess the religion needed a new way to spread their message, and hardcore punk seemed like the next most viable option.
Man convicted in 1979 cold case killing in Maryland
A Washington, D.C., man has been convicted of first-degree murder and rape in a case that had gone unsolved for decades. In 1979, Vickie Lynn Belk was kidnapped, sexually assaulted and shot to death. Belk, a 28-year-old mother, worked in D.C. and was a resident of Suitland, but her body was discovered miles away in the area of Metropolitan Church Road and Route 227 in Charles County, the sheriff's office said.
Duke Recruiting: A Look At Jordan Smith
His potential is ridiculous The DMV has long been an area of Duke recruiting interest. Mike Krzyzewski’s first great player, Johnny Dawkins, came from D.C. and his backcourt mate Tommy Amaker came from Northern Virginia. You can kind of go down the list: Danny Ferry, John Smith, Nolan Smith, Grant Hill, Kenny Blakeney, Quinn Cook and Paul XI. That’s kind of a joke because Duke has developed a pipeline from Paul XI. Recently, Duke has gotten Jeremy Roach, Trevor Keels, Darren Harris and Patrick Ngongba from Paul XI. And now they have offered Jordan Smith. Smith is a 6-3 guard...
