Williams Honored By State Hospitals Association
The Tennessee Hospital Association awarded State Representative Ryan Williams the 2024 Hospital Hero Award at Cookeville Regional Medical Center Wednesday. The award recognizes lawmakers who prioritize policy issues that contribute to the health and wellness of Tennesseans through support for hospitals. Williams advocated for financial relief for hospitals and secured over $110 million in funding for hospitals across the state. Williams said the work he did was essential to the hospital industry.

The Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth has released its County Profiles of Child Well-Being in Tennessee for 2024. At 68th, Coffee County is in the bottom half of Tennessee counties in child well-being. Coffee County’s strongest indicator is the percent of public school kindergarteners with the full immunization. Bedford County is 72nd in child well-being. According to the state, the county’s biggest challenge is the percent of children without health insurance, where it ranks 90th.
