The Coon Rapids Farmers Market transformed into a vibrant playground this Wednesday, as the community celebrated Kids Day. According to the City of Coon Rapids, young market-goers were treated to an inflatable farm playland suitable for toddlers to age 5 and free popsicles, available while supplies last. The festivities, which included a visit from the market's mascot, Rocky, took place between 3-6 p.m. at the Coon Rapids Ice Center.
New county park, beach opening on Little Emily Lake in August
EMILY — A new county park will soon open near the city of Emily. Crow Wing County said it is nearing completion of the Little Emily Lake Park. The park includes a public swimming beach, adding to the small number of public beaches available in the otherwise lake-rich county.
Bloomington Police Seek Public's Aid in Locating Suspect of Mall of America Hit and Run
The Bloomington Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in a hit-and-run incident. The collision, which left an unoccupied vehicle damaged, transpired on the 5th of July, 2024, at the Mall of America east ramp at around 10:50 PM. According to a post made by the Bloomington Police Department, the driver was reportedly "driving recklessly" before hitting the parked vehicle.
