Biking across Ohio to raise money for cancer support group
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A few hundred people biked across Ohio to support people fighting cancer. More than 70,000 people in Ohio are diagnosed with cancer every year. The Pan Ohio Hope Ride has set out to raise $1 million dollars for an organization called Hope Lodges, which provides housing for cancer patients going through treatment.

The Pretenders tore through Ohio this week with two headlining shows in Chrissie Hynde's hometown and an opening set in front of a baseball stadium full of Foo Fighters fans. The trip began with a return to Akron for two sold-out nights at the Goodyear Theater. Grand Champion and Reserve Champion cheesemakers were selected on Thursday, July 18 at the 2024 Ohio State Fair Cheese Contest held at Miceli Dairy Products in Cleveland. The American Dairy Association Mideast, who coordinated the event, is pleased to announce that Pearl Valley Cheese of Fresno, took top honors, receiving the overall Grand Champion award for their Swiss cheese.
