Winning PA Lottery ticket sold in Bucks County. Jackpot worth $860,000
A jackpot-winning Pennsylvania Lottery Match 6 Lotto ticket worth $860,000 was sold in Bucks County on Monday, according to the PA Lottery. "The ticket correctly matched all six winning numbers, 2-4-5-7-9-11, to win the $860,000 jackpot prize, less applicable withholding," according to the lottery. The winning ticket was sold at Smoker’s Express, 3 Bustleton Pike, Feasterville-Trevose. The store "will earn a $5,000 bonus for selling the big winning ticket," according to a news release. MAHANOY CITY, Pa, (WOLF) — Mahanoy Area School District has announced for the 2024-2025 school year that the use of cell phones will be prohibited by students during school hours. A bill to limit access to phones in school was officially signed into law last week by Governor Shapiro.

State police and other law enforcement agencies continue to seek a Mahanoy City woman on drug charges. Ashley Duran, 27, of Mahanoy City, is charged with felony manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, possession of a controlled substance, use or possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing a firearm when not permitted to do so.

WILLIAMSPORT — A Lycoming County businessman is facing jail time after admitting he did not pay federal taxes on cash payments he made to employees. J. Michael Barr, 59, of Cogan Station, pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. Middle District Court to a charge of failure to pay over taxes.
